Our Charity Work

#ChallengeDerbyshire was formed in 2015 to raise money for three amazing charities: Ashgate Hospice, Blythe House Hospicecare and Helen’s Trust.

They are committed to ensuring these charities continue and thrive, enabling them to deliver care and support for EVERYONE in North Derbyshire who needs it.

The trust runs a number of events throughout the year, from glittering charity balls to luxury super car driving days, musical concerts and gigs to football tournaments.

With all costs covered by local business Markovitz, every single penny goes direct to end of life care in our communities. To date, #ChallengeDerbyshire has raised over £1.1million in total, and they won’t stop. We are so lucky to have these three charities and working together, we can ensure we keep them for the years to come.

UK Landcare Ltd have supported the charity for the past 7 years and has included sponsoring a nurse for a year to cover their essential work that they carry out directly in the hospice.

Over the past few years UK Landcare’s partnership with #ChallengeDerbyshire has continued to grow with yearly donations averaging around £10K. UK Landcare Ltd employee’s attend the Markovitz Charity Ball’s twice a year where majority of the donation’s take place via auctioned events and gifts.

In 2023, UK Landcare’s director Stephen Tootell will join The Fundraising Team & Marketing & Communications Team along with Buxton FC Chairman David Hopkins to walk a MARATHON on Thursday 22nd June 2023! The team will be setting off from Matlock FC and stomping all the way to Buxton FC, making sure the journey is 26.2 miles minimum. The team are walking in an area where Blythe House Hospicecare & Helen’s Trust provide an amazing amount of care & we can’t wait to help promote the important charity along the way with the additional support of Buxton FC Chairman and Blythe House Hospice Patron, David Hopkins.
