St Philip Howard Voluntary Academy

UK Landcare Ltd continues to support St Philip Howard Catholic Voluntary Academy with charitable projects.

Over the past four years we have worked closely with Assistant Headteacher Mr White to provide opportunities to enhance students’ opportunities outside of the classroom.

In the first year, we provided a minibus that is used to transport students on sporting fixtures, Duke of Edinburgh expeditions, theatre visits and rewards visits amongst other opportunities.

The second year project involved providing high quality lighting to support students’ performance arts lessons which has also resulted in increased capacity for extra-curricular performance arts clubs and the whole school Christmas production.

In 2021, UK Landcare Ltd applied significant resources to develop the tennis court area, installing a new surface, new fencing, new court markings, additional pedestrian gates and modernising the surrounding space, including the school driveway. UK Landcare Ltd also installed concrete pads to form two bowling lanes to be used for cricket, rounders and softball.

In the current school year 2022/23 they have received a further significant donation to enhance facilities and the children’s educational resources, including new furniture, shelving and books for library. UK Landcare Ltd have also provided desks and resources for the art department, to improve the creative space.

UK Landcare Ltd are proud to be continuing to support the school and the welfare of the children and recently some employees have enjoyed taking part in the presentation from their mental health ambassadors about how they are supporting students.

Mr White, Assistant Headteacher explained:

“The charitable work of UK Landcare cannot be underestimated. They have provided fantastic opportunities for our young people. Heath and Stephen’s commitment to ensuring our students have the best educational experience is clear to see. At the heart of all their work is the child’s best interest, as a school we have benefited tremendously from the developments, our children’s cultural capital and personal development has been improved immensely and a huge part of this is down to the generosity of UK Landcare Ltd.”
